Decreased Capacity

This year is off to a hot start. Well sort of anyway. So far we've seen January flatbed capacity at a 3 year low. We pride ourselves on short turnaround time for scheduling trucks. Our service and dependability is what we pride ourselves on. Decreased capacity means us, like everybody else, are looking for trucks 2-3 days out. The side-effect of this is higher pricing. We've seen a 30% increase in coast-to-coast LTL pricing in the last 6 months. Shipping this time of year usually benefits those who can take advantage of the high truck capacity. If this is any indication of what the year has in store we could see high pricing and delayed shipments.
